Kali Chaur

Located in the Haldwani region, Kali Chaur is one of the most renowned temples. It is dedicated to Maa Kali. The surroundings are simply eye-catching and the tranquillity of the place leaves one spellbound. After taking a soft trek from the main road, this temple can be reached easily. Shitla Mandir in Haldwani

A temple dedicated to Goddess Durga, the Shitla Mandir is located at Ranibagh that is around 10 km from the main city. It can easily be reached by taking a soft trek of 1 km from the main road. The ideal surroundings and ambience of the temple premises ensure that visitors can enjoy camping here. Most of the visitors come prepared with a picnic basket and spend good time with family and friends.

Ashta Dasha Bhuja Lakshmi Temple

One of the most sacred places in Haldwani is the Ashta Dasha Bhuja Lakshmi Temple dedicated to Goddess Lakshmi, the Goddess of prosperity and money. The deity has 18 hands and this makes it one of its kinds in the country. Also, it is one of the most visited and biggest shrines in the city. It is made in a very large area and has three domes in white color. Apart from the deity of Goddess Lakshmi, the temple also has the deities of Lord Ganesha, Lord Shiva and Lord Hanuman. Devotees from all castes and religions offer their prayers at this temple.

Ashta Dasha Bhuja Lakshmi Temple is very near to the railway station and, thus, can easily be reached by taking a cycle rickshaw or even by foot.

Sanjay Van

Located in Pant Nagar, just 23 km from Haldwani, Sanjay Van is a picturesque location that is a part of the Tanda Range Forest.

Haidakhan Ashram in Haldwani

Located on River Gaula in Kathgodam, Gaula barrage is an attractive tourist destination. This barrage was built for the purpose of irrigation but now it has developed into a picnic spot that attracts families to spend their day sightseeing and camping.

Chhoti Haldwani

The legendary Jim Corbett conceptualized a model village where he established modern infrastructure such as housing and other facilities for the tenants who lived here. The people who visit this beautiful village are taken on a heritage trail which starts from the Corbett Museum in Kaladhungi and ends its trail within 9 km wall that was built by Corbett to keep away the wild boars. Apart from the museum, one can also see Corbett Falls and Corbett Canal in Chhoti Haldwani.
